Proven Protection

We have been supplying Anti-Blast Film (ABF) to our clients for 10 years. Our ABF is certified to industry standards for blast mitigation, providing protection against injuries through flying glass and fragmentation on the navigation deck. It also assists in denying physical forced entry.

One roll (30m x 1.52m) is usually sufficient to protect the navigation deck. The majority of our clients purchase two rolls, providing enough material to cover communal areas, meeting rooms, CCR, and lower deck glazed areas, reducing injury risk and preventing access to the superstructure.

The ABF is also extremely effective in mitigating serious blast injuries caused by detonation through Dangerous Cargo Ignition (DCI).

Damage to a ship bridge from blast — shattered glass and debris

The Threat is Real

This catastrophic event and potential loss of life could be avoided by installing one roll of ABF. Flying glass and fragmentation from a blast event is one of the primary causes of injury and death on the navigation deck.

The ABF is supplied with all necessary tools, frame retention materials and instructions to enable the crew to install it themselves.

Proof Under Fire

These photographs show the aftermath of a real attack on a commercial vessel. The bridge windows were hit by small arms fire during a piracy incident. The Easi-Shield Film held the glass together, preventing deadly fragmentation from entering the bridge and protecting the crew inside.

Bridge exterior after the attack. The glass has shattered from the impact but the film has held every fragment in place.

Close-up of shattered bridge window — bullet impact point visible, glass held together by anti-blast film

Close-up of the impact point. Despite the force of the round, the film prevented the glass from breaking inward. No crew members were injured.

Without ABF, this glass would have shattered inward, sending razor-sharp fragments across the bridge at high velocity. In a confined space like a navigation deck, flying glass is one of the primary causes of serious injury and death during an armed attack. The Easi-Shield Film absorbed the impact, held the glass together, and kept the crew safe.

Certifications & Standards

Lloyds Register states there is no classification for window film, nor does it require class approval, as the standards set by the glazing industry (ISO, EN, GSA) satisfy the requirement.
